Do Disturb questions architecture’s obsession with comfort and Western rationality. It argues that by prioritising pragmatism, architecture has made people passive and disconnected from their surroundings. The project explores what space could become if freed from these constraints.
Set in Öst på Stan, Umeå, it proposes a system of shared, autonomous spaces growing from garages and empty facades, creating new connections and ways of living. The aim is to redefine our relationship with architecture, fostering solidarity and engagement instead of isolation and comfort.
