Galleribänk is the result of my explorations on site in Rågsved. I asked myself how I could get to know a place without leaving my own mark on it.
The project became two parts, a temporary installation of reconfigured items I had been gifted, and a permenent bench gifted to a local insitution.
After the installation’s short life, attention turned to the objects within it, though its value lay in the ideas it represented rather than the installations own being. Once dismantled, I was left with nothing tangible, only the challenge of presenting my changed perception of the place.
Galleribänk is a response to that challenge: a bench inviting one to sit and experience their surroundings. It carries thought, story, and intention—yet it is also just a bench, an anecdote of architecture’s duality in the real world.
